I am a graduate of the University of Georgia with a BBA degree and a major in accounting.
My professional background is quite diversified. I began my career in the private sector with a Fortune 1000 company, where I helped establish the internal audit department. I then moved into the public accounting arena with a large regional accounting firm in Georgia. I received exceptional training early in my career, including audit training at the Arthur Andersen Training Center in St. Charles, Illinois. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with some bright people across all my firm relationships, and I have always enjoyed training young accountants to become proficient in the profession. Specializing in Non-Profit Audit & Review, Athens, GA.
I certainly consider myself fortunate to have enjoyed a wide variety of experiences in my professional career. My philosophy as I go forward is to share my experience in a way that adds value to the services and projects we work on together, and to charge more affordable rates for a high level of expertise that can be delivered without you having to engage large firms and their staff.
Although working on a project at a client’s office is important, I have found that most clients prefer to work in a “virtual” environment where information and data can be exchanged electronically, and, if desired, the client’s accounting system can be accessed remotely to obtain information to reduce travel expenses and to avoid disrupting the client’s daily business processes.
By the way, I love technology. When you become “seasoned” in life, technology makes all the difference in the world in making all tasks (business and personal) much, much easier.
Thanks again for stopping by.
